Blowoff NYC February!

I should have been writing, I know. Instead I took Saturday night off and went to BLOWOFF! It was worth it. The night was incredibly from start to finish. Great tunes, sexy crowd, and all around a good vibe from smiling happy people. Even while the club was trying to shut down people wanted to dance.
The Highline Ballroom really is a great space with an excellent sound system. With a few notable exceptions, nearly everyone I know in the greater New York City area was in attendance, which made it extra special. Big thanks to Bob and Rich for bringing a great DC party to NYC.
Best. Blowoff. Ever!

Linked into your blog from joe.my.god. Having done it, I can sympathise with the difficulties of writing a thesis proposal, or for that matter academic papers. Sounds like you have been doing a few displacement activities, which we all do, before writing. But there is only one way to write the damned thing, sit on your butt and do it! This, btw, is meant to be supportive as I at times also avoid writing things that should be written--such as going away this last weekend when I have a can't-miss deadline for the end of this week.
Just do it bud--you will: fear is a great incentive for the concentration.
Hope it goes well -- iain
