Snakes on a Face

Meet Chimay, an albino corn snake. Not content to be a headband, she heads down my shirt where it's warmer. She gave me some tongue action in my ear that tickled like crazy. Go figure. Luckily I'm not a mouse.

Boston Thanksgiving, Year 2, Part 2

JeffandGina.jpgLeaving the 'burbs behind, Tom and I venture into Boston the day after Thanksgiving. We pause briefly in Cambridge to see my old college friend, Gina. She's the most consistently random human being I know. True to character, she was cooking a huge turkey - a day late (because she though it'd be cheaper that way). Awesome! We were fed more wine and turkey. And there was a random raffle! I got to meet her lovebird Wrigley. While not busy humping his stuffed bird doll, he liked to hang on the back of my collar. After dinner we relaxed a bit at the hotel and then went to Fritz for a beer. Followed that up with a trip to Machine/Ramrod where we ran into peeps from last year. Ahh, predictability. :) Saturday brought us by the Quincy Market and a Tuba ensemble playing Christmas songs. We listened to a few songs and I had a huge smile on my face. Then off to the North End for an Italian dinner.

QuincyMarkety.jpgSaturday evening we popped into my favorite bar/restaurant in Boston, the Silvertone. Good drinks and delicious calamari were consumed. Then to the Pi Alley. More carousing, then sleep in preparation for our battle with Sunday traffic returning to NYC. We stopped to shop a bit at the world's most decimated Kohl's on the way back, and still made it in time to see our peeps at the Dugout. How many more holidays are there again?
