Boston Thanksgiving, Year 2, Part 1
Today's Transformers are slightly more frustrating than the ones I remember as a child. My Megatron had several metal pieces, sturdy hinges, pins, and body parts... at least until I broke his leg off in a horrifying fight with Optimus Prime. This little worker-bot was made almost entirely of plastic, and there were little tabs and slots for the pieces to fit together nicely.
It took 8 adults over 2 hours to reach this halfway-transformed state. Thankfully, mimosas and bacon were on hand to ease our frustrations. Mmm....Bacon-mosa.
Tom and I drove up to Boston on Thursday morning for family time. Following that, we went to see some of Tom's other friends. I love visiting their house because they have a double-tap kegerator, a Wii, a dog, and a snake (not to mention two very cute kids). I kicked some Wii-tennis ass... but got beat at Wii-bowling. Friday morning was a meet-up with more old friends of Tom's over brunch. More kids - and hence the transformer frustration.
Then on to Boston Proper...

mimosas and bacon . . . sounds like heaven.
